Together with Ivo (www.ivoheus.com) and Patrick (www.nieuwenburg.net) I have paid a visit to the Oostvaardersplassen. It was a pretty wet adventure since the waterlevel in this rugged terrain was higher than the the tracks in most places. I did put on some of my wintergear, but didn’t put on decent boots, which resulted in mud up to my knees and very wet feet…
The deer in the picture wondered of from the hurd and didn’t really react when we approached her. She was still eating but clearly this animal wouldn’t last much longer… Bye bye Bambi.
This is my selection of the trip:

The geocoded photo’s can be found on my Panoramio page.

Time for something recent. I took some shots of this car on a location which seemed pretty useful, but I had my doubts. However, after doing what I like best, processing the photo’s in Adobe Lightroom, I was pretty happy with the results!

As a birthdaygift, my parents gave me a workshop, which they read about in Landleven Magazine. This workshop is done by Steven Ruiter. My dad and sister also got this present. So, of we went to Natuurpark Lelystad. Steven walked us through his experience, techniques and tips & tricks.
I’ve made a selection of shots, from which I have to choose the top five, which will then be sent to and jugded by Steven. Oh my, I feel like I’m back in school again! I’m looking forward to the comments…
Anyhow, here’s the selection!
My current top 5 is…

It has been a while… (it seems I always start with this message)
A been able to add a couple of things to my been there, done that list!
In short, a book was finally published after two years, in which my photo´s make up about half of the total amount of graphics. It´s called “Die scheep is moet varen” (A Dutch saying, meaning; “If you start something, complete it”.
The 25th of august, the first copy was offered to Wim de Bruijn http://www.flickr.com/photos/wawijnbergh/3856935994/
* Edit: I only just now learned that Hans Vandersmissen, the author of the book has passed away. In your lifetime you meet special people who stand out from the crowd in one way or another. Hans Vandersmissen stood out in a couple of ‘m. Rest in Peace…

Besides the book, there was something else.
In short, somebody called asking if I could do a short-notice photoshoot of 11 objects (buildings) in Utrecht, The Netherlands. Still not knowing the precise details, I still agreed. Turned out that the array of photo´s would be printed in 2 x 1 meters… per photo. I still have to go over to the office in which they´re being displayed to take a picture.
Must be impressive though, looking at 22m2 of your own work!

Whilst Googling myself, I found an article by my uncle. (in Dutch)
This made me realize that I haven’t posted anything on the trip we made last summer!
Shame on me…again.
You can find the article, and two of my photo’s here. (the first and the last photo are made by me)
*mental note, select and upload some pictures of the trip

Time for a refresh. Well… with old photo’s that is.
I do think that these are worth showing, and there are more,
but for the time being you’ll have to do with a external link.
Ps: In the upcoming couple of months, pictures from another
photoshoot will be published in a book! More on that subject later…

Well, to start with something negative… Too much asphalt! And Emmeloord is situated in the “Noordoost Polder”. A vast, open, flat and windy place of The Netherlands. Oh yeah, we didn’t have much time either, so we only visited 2 stages and the service area.
But… we did manage to take some pictures. Check them in the main gallery.

Check my “main gallery” for some shots from the BSR Rallyclinic Niederrhein event 2007.

Why? How about being able to go sailing, the second week of december, without having to break ice and freezing your balls off? I took some shots, and obviously, I was in a “face-mood”. Let me explain… I don’t have one particular interest, style or method when it comes to photography. In general I just shoot what ever catches my eye and at the end of the day I find out that there is a red line. Well, the red line was “faces”.
I’ve posted some images in the main gallery under “December Sailing”.
